How To Stick With The Bikini Babe Bible
Starting my Bikini Babe Bible or any other fitness regime for the first time can take some getting used to. Most people will have started, full of motivation to adhere to their new healthy lifestyle. For most people the starting part can be quite easy, but after awhile the motivation starts to diminish and you find yourself slipping back into bad habits again. While this is perfectly normal, I’ve included a few tricks to help you push through these obstacles and keep going to reach your goals!
Consistency – This is the biggest tip I can give you. You NEED to do this. You need to do it over and over until it becomes a part of who you are and it becomes a part of your lifestyle. It can take some effort at the start but after awhile it will feel as normal as brushing your teeth, you just do it. On the days that you don’t feel like working out, do it anyway! Odds are, once you’ve started and get into the workout your attitude towards it starts to change, and if it doesn’t, a workout that isn’t performed at your best is still better than a workout that you didn’t do at all! (This doesn’t mean you should work out if you’re sick or run down).
Tell People – Telling people about your goals isn’t just exciting because it makes it feel real, it also keeps you accountable. Ensure that you surround yourself with encouraging people that will support you and not try to bring you down or sabotage your efforts. You may even feel like starting an instagram page to document your new journey with other like minded people. It’s a great tool to share yummy, healthy recipes and post about your accomplishments with the program. Be sure to use the hashtag #BikiniBabeBible so other BBB girls can find you.
Take Progress Pics – This the best way to track your progress and its also a great motivational tool. Looking back at the photos and comparing them can keep you motivated to keep going. It also shows changes that the scales may not show, for example if a girl has lost fat but gained muscle, there might not be too much of a change on the scales but there will be a big change to her body composition, she would have lost body fat to start revealing her newly toned muscles. I encourage you to take progress pictures every 4 weeks. It’s more motivation to help you push through the next 4 weeks so you can take the next photo and see your results.
Don’t Compare Yourself to Others – Everyone is different, we all have different genes and our response to exercise is different. Yes, for some results come a lot easier and others have to work really hard to get the same result. Don’t let that discourage you though. If you give up, you’ll never get it. Instead of comparing yourself to girls in magazines or on social media, compare yourself to the girl you were yesterday, forget about everyone else. Be consistent, remain positive and the results will come AND it will be SO worth it.
Time – This would have to be the biggest reason people say they can’t do it! You need to make it a priority and MAKE time. Set your alarm earlier, choose to exercise instead of watching TV. You just need to find the time to do it. As soon as you make it a not – negotiable task in your day, just like eating, or taking a shower it will become a part of your routine and as they say: ‘you are a product of your routine’.
